The Lavenham Adventure.

Weekend Break, Midweek Break or Day trip.

Norfolk and Suffolk

Take a day trip or a weekend break and discover  amazing Lavenham, England's finest medieval Town.

This hidden gem is one of those places that simply must be visited.

Along its hilly, crooked streets are 340  listed buildings. In the 16th century it was England’s 14th wealthiest town Today it is host to tourism, particularly fine dining, art galleries and antiques.

Known as “Suffolk’s man-made wonder”, the “food capital of Suffolk”and, simply, “Wonky Town”.

After the exhilarating drive, there’s no better place than the excellent Swan to catch your breath, dismount – and stretch out your riding legs at journey’s end.

The suggested route is approximately 65 miles long, starting from our base, providing a good mixture of fast sweeping and slower twisty bits, through some wonderfully swooping bends along the A1071, A1141, B1115 and B1071.

For a weekend break we recommend staying at The Swan. A wonderful medieval Inn with its twisted beams, hidden bars, nooks and crannies, it is positively dripping with character.
